For elite armor and weapons, you’ll need some more. Just remember that overall this is a game and so the goal is to have fun. Do whatever you enjoy most to earn your gold.

Some folks farm (clearing the same area over and over and over for gold or unique items.)
Some enjoy power trading. If this appeals to you then start researching current prices and start trading.
Others simply play thru the game doing the quests and missions normally. There is good money to be made just by merching all your drops as you play.
You can vanquish in HM or do elite missions for extra goodies. You’ll always get more cash in HM than NM.

Go for some titles. Some titles are a cash drain and others can earn you money as you work. (Cartography, Protector/Guardian and Vanquishing are good examples)

The best way to have gold is to set a budget. I’ve found that most kids in my guild and alliance that are constantly whining "I’m broke!!!!!!!" are really making just as much gold as I do….They just spend it on junk. They buy keys and dyes and overpriced weapons and everything else in town.

Set an amount to work towards, it could be 5k, 10k or 100k. Once you reach that amount in your storage then promise yourself that your funds will never drop below that amount except for emergency spending. Spend only what you accumulate above that. Gradually raise the goal and you’ll find you have plenty. If you have your eye on a special weapon or elite armor set then set aside a little bit each day just for that item.
