Absolutely there are some many direct sales companies out there that offer you an income and the ability to work around family and activities. Find something that interest you and research the company. I started my business because I loved the product you need to believe in what you sell plus I recommend a consumable product.
References :
Yes,
I have 4 children myself and run two businesses.

Create your own path and handle your business yourself as much as you can. If funds are limited start small and network.

Ask other business owners for advice. Join small business networks. Most of all remember those little people in your home(or not so little) and find ways to involve them.

Don't take someone elses idea, create your own. I see this all the time. You need a niche that makes you unique. If you fail don't give up just try again.

Good luck,

Laura

I teach elementary school school and did last school year but wanted to find a way to stay home with my toddler. I joined Mary Kay in May and I tutor in the afternoons while a friend watches him. Then I watch their baby a different day. I also teach night school. I don't know if any of those options are for you. If you have any questions about that let me know.
References :
My wife works from home as a freelance writer and on some months makes more than I do!

It is very very difficult to find a legit job unless you have marketable skills, like writing or graphic design, or you had a previous job that will allow you to telecommute.

Our neighbor watches a few kids during the day while her kids are in school and makes close to 1500 a month extra from that.
References :
Try selling on eBay. Start with the things in your own that your family has outgrown or no longer wears or items you no longer use. You'd be surprised at what sells. There is no cost to start selling. All you need is a digital camera and a PC. You make a little extra or a lot extra..depends on what you want to do. You can also find items at garage sales that people are selling extra cheap that will sell for lots more on eBay. Good Luck~your so lucky to get to stay home with your babies!
References :
I'm a SAHM who works with the Pampered Chef. One to two nights a week I get to go to someone else's house and cook for their friends. I make 20-25 an hour and I have a blast! Most women who start this burn food vs. cook it so cooking well is NOT a pre-requisite. There are lots of other direct-selling companies that work about the same way, each with it's own benefits and start up costs. SO much fun AND adult interaction! And I pay for (and next year I'll earn from PC for free) our family vacations!
